This complimentary CME educational activity is designed for all healthcare providers (HCPs) involved in developing, delivering, consulting, and monitoring care for patients with MAC lung disease, including pulmonologists, respiratory medicine specialists, infectious disease specialists, and related clinicians.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Recognize patients and symptoms that suggest the need to evaluate and assess—microbiologically and radiographically—persons with COPD, bronchiectasis, history of TB and other co-morbid conditions that place them at high risk for acquiring MAC lung infection
- Implement clinical strategies and adjunctive measures that improve regimen adherence for inhaled antimicrobial formulations approved for treatment of MAC lung disease; and, that ensure, once started, antimicrobial treatment plans can be adhered to and a full, planned course of antimicrobial therapy can be completed until evidence of microbial conversion is documented
- Recognize NTM-LD- associated patient risk factors, underlying risk conditions (e.g. bronchiectasis, COPD, previous history of TB) and approaches to reduce time to diagnostic confirmation, and initiation of guideline- and evidence based therapy
- Identify and deploy individualized treatment goals based on patient factors and need to address risk of likely treatment resistance or failure
- Manage medication adverse events, adherence, and course completion to improve treatment outcome
- Communicate to patients the full spectrum of activities and challenges that must be addressed to optimize success and completion of an antimicrobial course of therapy for NTM-LD, including airway clearance, medication optimization, susceptibility testing, repeated cultures, duration of treatment, and medication adherence; adverse event management
- Discuss the epidemiology and disease burden for NTM-LD and MAC Lung Disease based on prevalence, susceptible populations, and strategies for confirming the diagnosis of NTM-LD in the EU setting

To participate in this program, viewers must have a PC or Macintosh computer that has active, ongoing internet access for the duration of the program, as well as a compatible Flash-viewer. An email address is required for registration, and a printer is required to print out the CME certificate.
